In addition to the Lifeline program, qualifying consumers can also save on high-speed internet: discounted service plans offered by many of the companies that deliver broadband, and a monthly benefit of up to $30 ($75 for residents of qualifying Tribal lands) provided by the federal government.
While the Lifeline discount can be applied toward an eligible internet service, there are other options for discounted broadband. Choosing one of these options and applying your Lifeline discount to a mobile voice/data service may be a better choice for many households.

Qualify for Free and/or Discounted services with Lifeline

Lifeline is a federal program dedicated to making phone and internet service more affordable for low-income households. This benefit provides eligible consumers with monthly discounts.
Once you qualify for Lifeline, you can contact a variety of providers to receive free/discounted devices and/or services.

Here's some ways to qualify:

-SNAP

-MEDICAID

-Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

-Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)

-Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit

-Tribal Assistance Programs

-Qualify based on your income (if your income is 135% or less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines you can qualify for lifeline)
